My Day in Food.

I’m a creature of habit and my daily food choices totally reflect this. I eat almost the same thing everyday and I love it.  If I’m going to indulge it usually happens at some point on the weekend but Monday to Friday this I what I will typically eat in a day.

post workout ( usually 7.30am)

She Supps protein shake

Breakfast (mid morning)

Porridge/oats made with almond milk, topped with fruit, cinnamon and honey.

I have this every single day so I will alternate the topping from strawberries, blueberries and banana to peanut butter, banana, and sprinkle of dark chocolate chips.

Lunch ( 1pm)

The other thing I have every day at the moment, is avocado.  So for my Lunch I either have a chicken and avocado toasted sandwich (with wholemeal bread lightly spread with coconut oil) or I smash my avocado on toast and sprinkle with chili flakes and rock salt.

afternoon snack (around 3.30pm)

Either a protein bar or Greek yoghurt ( if i’m having Greek yoghurt I will add in either a bit of muesli, or apple and cinnamon, or raspberries. It just depends what I have in my house.

Dinner

I eat lots of different evening meals as its a family meal and has to cater for everyone.  I just try and make them using whole clean ingredients and no added sugar. my family is quite fussy so I always try and do the same meat and sauces for all of us and then a couple of different sides so every one is happy.

two examples would be

Chicken breast lightly seasoned, I will serve it with sweet potato fries, or couscous but I usually have mine with a tomato salad.

spaghetti bolognese, made with just two tins of chopped tomatoes, lean turkey mince, onions, whatever other veggies you like, some oregano, nutmeg and balsamic vinegar.  James and the kids will have theirs with pasta  – I might do too, but if I’ve had lots and lots of carbs already that day I might swap the pasta for courgetti.  It’s all about balance and what works at the time.

I don’t count it as a meal, to me its just life. But every single day ( since the day I started BBG) I eat 4 small squares ( or 2 big ones) of dark chocolate.  Because I personally believe you are not living if you don’t get to eat chocolate every day.
